Your instructors

Rebecca Sin

Head of Asia ETF Research, Bloomberg Intelligence

Ms. Sin is an ETF Analyst at Bloomberg. In this role she writes research, articles and featured stories about ETFs for the Bloomberg terminal and Bloomberg.com. Ms. Sin has a wealth of experience. She was previously the Head of Equities, Asia Pacific at Tradeweb and Head of Commerzbank ETF Sales and Trading for Asia Pacific. She was responsible for ETFs, equity futures/options and convertible bonds. She enjoys educating clients with respect to the entire Equities spectrum ranging from executions to driving the growth of the business. Ms. Sin’s career has been spent in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and she has experience working as a portfolio manager, market maker and synthetic equity trader. She has worked for numerous banks including Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital and Commerzbank. Ms. Sin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. She is the co-chair of Asia’ Women in Exchange Traded Funds (WE), co-chair of Women in Finance Asia’ Mentor Mentee Program (WiFA), on the board of directors for Young Investor Society (YIS) and Women in Finance and Investment Networks. She is passionate about gender diversity and equality. In her spare-time, she enjoys playing football and cooking as she is a certified cuisine and pastry chef from Alain Ducasse's Culinary School in Paris.

Annemarie Ganatra

Global Head Private Placements, EM Local Currency & SSA DCM/Syndicate at Standard Chartered

Annemarie joined Standard Chartered in 2014 after nearly 17 years at HSBC based in London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong, as a Managing Director in Global Capital Financing and Global Rates Structuring. Annemarie holds a Masters’ Degree in Physical & Inorganic Chemistry from Cambridge University, and a Masters’ in International Business from Grenoble Ecole de Management in France.

Wendy Chan

Senior Director, JLL

Wendy has over 15 years of experience providing independent valuation services. She is currently a Senior Director for JLL within the Corporate Appraisal & Advisory department, a differentiated service proposition delivering integrated property & non-property, corporate valuations in 10 locations across the Asia Pacific region. She spent her initial years within this division first building experience through its business valuation services team and then progressed to her current role with responsibility over many Chinese and SE Asian corporate accounts. She trained in accountancy along with laws and holds the CPA designation and LLB. Her passions include the education sector in Hong Kong and China for which she assists multiple charities, as well as running and meditation.

Christine Yu

Sophia Co-Founder

Christine’s global career spans 17+ years across impact finance, venture building and the international capital markets. In her impact and venture building work, Christine focuses on the edtech, gender lens and financial inclusion sectors. Passionate about investing, transformational education, and the gender lens space, Christine co-founded a non-profit organisation focused on closing the gender investing gap called Girls Just Wanna Have Fund$ (www.gjwhf.org). Christine leads the Hong Kong chapter of AngelVest, a regional angel investing group. With Sophia, she is energised and inspired to share her investing knowledge to a generation of female investors with the goal of bringing diversity and greater innovation to the startup ecosystem. Christine holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Lyndaine Demetilla

Co-founder, Satoshi Women

Lyndaine is currently at Impact District. She was previously the Chief of Staff for Fusang - a secure, regulated platform where real-world assets can be tokenized and turned into digital assets. It is an investment marketplace where businesses and global investors find each other. She is also the Co-founder of Satoshi Women, an organization that supports women in getting the same access as men to knowledge, opportunity, and resources to fully participate in the cryptocurrency sector. They provide education, access, and inspiration so that women from all backgrounds can use cryptocurrencies, blockchains, and digital assets to improve their lives and experiences. They empower them to innovate, find financial freedom, create wealth, and shape professional fulfilment. They help all of Asia’s women to become crypto-literate.

Jessica Cutrera

President, Leo Wealth

Jessica is the President of Leo Wealth, a global wealth management firm created in 2021 bringing together The Capital Company, LeoGroup, and BFT Financial Group. She serves on the firm's investment committee and as a Responsible Officer and the Compliance Officer. She is an expert in many areas of individual financial, regulatory and tax issues, particularly in regards to Americans living in Asia. She and her team specialize in providing comprehensive wealth management and Estate and tax planning services to U.S. citizens expatriated to Asia and to persons with U.S. related planning needs. Over the last seventeen years, Jessica has built this practice into a comprehensive wealth management service, with an active presence across Asia Pacific. From 2008 - 2016 Jessica served as a Founder, Managing Director and the Head of Operations and Compliance for EXS Capital. She was in charge of financial and operational control as well as regulatory compliance. Prior to her role in Asia, Jessica worked for Charles Schwab. She continues to be licensed in the U.S. today as an independent adviser affiliated with a U.S. financial planning firm and through these affiliations, serves clients in the U.S. and Asia Pacific. In addition to her work in Asia, while in Tokyo she completed her MBA at Temple University Japan, graduating in 2006. Previously, Jessica graduated from Indiana University with honors, completing two undergraduate degrees in three years. She also spent a year in AmeriCorps working with individuals with severe disabilities. Jessica is licensed with SFC for Type 4 (Advising on Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) and is a Responsible Officer.

Vivien Khoo

Co-founder, Satoshi Women

After a long career in senior compliance and regulatory roles, Vivien stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies in 2019 when she joined BitMEX, one of the leading crypto derivatives exchanges where she was the Global Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO. Prior to joining BitMEX, Vivien spent close to two decades at Goldman Sachs where she was the Managing Director overseeing Compliance for Asia Pacific Ex-Japan.  Throughout her career, Vivien’s focus has helped businesses to balance the complexities of regulatory requirements, commercial considerations and operational demands. Today, as the worlds of traditional finance and digital assets converge, she occupies several positions that capitalise on her expertise to help shape the emerging world of digital-asset powered financial services. She is the chair and co-founder of the Asia Crypto Alliance, an industry association that promotes a sustainable eco-system for Virtual Asset Service Providers in Asia. Vivien is a Board Advisor on Fusang, Asia's first fully regulated Digital Securities Exchange. She is also a Senior Advisor on StashAway, a digital wealth management platform with more than USD 1bn of assets under management. An ardent advocate for diversity and inclusion, Vivien is the founder of Digital Female Leadership Network and co-founder of Satoshi Women, both of which provide education, inspiration and connections to women interested in the digital assets space. 

Katy Yung

Managing Partner, Sustainable Finance Initiative

Katy is Managing Partner at HK-based Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFi), advising and supporting family offices and investors on their sustainable and impact journeys. Katy has served as Director of Investment at RS Group, a HK-based impact investor since 2010. She led the family office’s transition from a traditional investment portfolio to one that is 100% sustainably invested. In this role, she was actively involved in designing impact and climate change strategies and implementation across asset classes (utilizing both investment and philanthropic capital). Katy remains as consultant to RS Group. Katy is formerly an investment banker at J.P. Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Limited and a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum. She graduated from Duke University in North Carolina with a BA in Economics and a minor on Comparative Area Studies.

Nicole Denholder

Sophia Co-Founder

Nicole transitioned her 15-year career at PricewaterhouseCoopers from working on US IPO and global Consulting projects into building businesses focused on getting women funded faster. Nicole founded Next Chapter Ventures and has worked with hundreds of female founders and investor changemakers to understand and address the issues facing female entrepreneurs who are looking to fund and scale their businesses. Nicole was previously on the Board of the Women Entrepreneurs Network in Hong Kong and a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Network’s Executive Committee and brings her passion for changing the investment ecosystem to the Sophia community. Nicole holds a Bachelor degree in International Business from Queensland University of Technology and recipient of Commonwealth Scholarship for International Studies at IKIP University, Indonesia.
